Does anyone know where is a good place to invest in a lakeside vacation property that is affordable?

i'm looking for a lakefront vacation home near california. It can be any states near and around california....price range $100,000-350,000. A community with lots of greenery and trees near a lake.

forget California come down to the lovely South Pacific to our awesome country of New Zealand.

We have Plenty of green and mountains to die for!! Check out the lake district near Queenstown Its AWESOME

Shania Twain & her husband has a mother of a place down there and has even built huts there for the trampers/hikers to use.
